Dr. Kandarp Parikh is a senior practicing Urologist at Ahmedabad for more than 20 years. He serves as a Chairman of Shyam Speciality Hospital and Director of department of urology at Marengo CIMS hospital,Ahmedabad.

Dr. Kandarp is a well sought after speaker and has been invited faculty for many conferences and meetings worldwide. He is a world renowned faculty in the field of Flexible ureteroscopy(RIRS). He has been a regular faculty in World Endourology conferences (Mumbai, Amsterdam, Munich, Taiwan ,London & Abudhabi). He has been invited to the ESD in South Africa,Dubai,Shnghai and Greece. He was also part of the Segura course at Qatar. He has conducted international RIRS workshops at Turkey, Nepal & Bangladesh,China. He has been a operating faculty at the Pre conference workshop of USICON 2015,2016 and 2017, WZUSICON, SZUSICON & NZUSICON-. He has also conducted live operative workshops in Kota, Indore, PGI Chandigarh, Agra, Mehsana , Bhopal and Guwahati and many other cities in India.

Dr. Kandarp Parikh is pioneer in bringing newer technologies in urology for the benefit of needy patients. He has enormous contributions in the field of Laser prostate surgeries (Holep, Greeen light Laser ) , Laparoscopic and Robotic uro onco surgeries.

Dr. Kandarp is an academician who has organized many major conferences in the zone. To name a few: Minimal Access Surgery 2003, WZUSICON, USICON 2004, AIE 2013,2016,2018,2019,2022 & 2023. Apart from these, Dr. Kandarp runs The Minimal access training institute at Shyam Speciality Hospital. Many Urologists from India and neighboring country have participated in this program.He has authored “Coffee table book on RIRS your companion to RIRS” which is used as a reference book by more than 2500 urologists in India and edited “flexible ureteroscopy “ published by Spinger

Dr. Kandarp has been associated with Urology society for many years in various positions. He started as a council member of USI-WZ in 2003-05 then rose to be a treasurer in 2011-13 and then continued as an honorary Secretary for four years. Presently he is the president of USI-WZ. He has also been the secretary of the Ahmedabad Urology Association (2001-03) and the founding secretary of the Gujarat Urology Association (2009-12).Currently he is serving as president of Ahmedabad Urology association and council member of urology society of India.

Minimal Access Surgery Training Institute

Minimal Access Surgery Training Institute is an initiative by Shyam Speciality Hospital with the aim of training Urologists from across the world in the area of Minimal access Surgery.

World renowned mentors interact with participants and update, educate them with the latest advancements in Endourology. Training programs are organized every four monthly which covers Live surgeries and Hands on training Program. Many Urologists have been trained mainly in the field of RIRs, PCNL and Laser Prostate surgeries.
